Turkey Sandwich

This lunchtime staple is a classic turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread complete with cheese, tomato, lettuce, and avocado for color and freshness.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 2 slices deli turkey
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 Roma tomato
  • 1/2 avocado
  • mayonnaise
  • spicy brown mustard

Instructions
 

  • Everyone knows how to make a sandwich! Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread and mustard on the other. Then add 2 slices of turkey, 2 slices of provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and avocado to each sandwich. Enjoy!

Notes

If we're feeling extra fancy (and have more time), we'll pull out the panini press and turn it into a turkey and cheese panini! When we do this, we omit the lettuce or substitute it for spinach.
